Youth Protection Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
WeirdoFoodCompany Co., Ltd. ("we") complies with the Youth Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and related laws, and applies the following policy so that minors can use the Service safely and are protected from harmful content.
1. Basic principles
- Series that we judge harmful to minors (under 19 in Korea) are not available to minors.
- Adult series are shown only to members whose age (19 or older) has been confirmed through mobile phone identity verification.
- We will offer adult series only after mobile phone identity verification becomes available. Until then, no adult series are published.
2. Labeling of content harmful to minors
- Adult series carry a "19" label in lists and on their series pages.
- For visitors who have not completed adult verification (including logged-out visitors), the cover of an adult series is blurred and only the "19" label is shown.
- Visitors who have not completed adult verification cannot open the description or episodes of an adult series and are guided to log in or verify.
- Adult series appear in recommendations, new-episode lists and genre lists only for members who have completed adult verification; before that they appear only blurred in the "All series" list.
3. How adult verification works
- Adult verification uses mobile phone identity verification through an identity verification provider (provider: NHN KCP, integration: PortOne). You enter your name, date of birth and phone number directly in the verification window.
- After verification we only check whether you are 19 or older (the current year minus your birth year is 19 or more). We do not store your name, date of birth or phone number; we record whether you were confirmed as an adult, when, and by which method.
- Using someone else's identity to verify is prohibited and may lead to restrictions on use.
4. Measures to protect minors
- If a report or our review shows that a series is harmful to minors, we promptly mark it as an adult series or restrict (hide) it and then review its rating.
- We review the content level of new series before publishing and set adult series to open only after adult verification.
- If the relevant laws or our practices change, we will reflect that in this policy.
5. Reporting harmful content
If you find content you consider harmful to minors, or inappropriate use by a minor, please tell us at support@freecomics.app. We will check as soon as possible, restrict access if necessary, and let you know the result.
