Terms of Service

1. The Service

• We provide reading of webtoons and related content, resume-reading and reading history, language selection and episode access management.
• Some episodes are free. Locked episodes can be unlocked in ways we set, such as watching an ad or waiting. The conditions (access period, daily limits and so on) are shown in the Service and we may change them.
• The website offers title information, previews and information about the app. Full reading is available in the app and, during periods when we open it, on the website for signed-up members.
• We may add, edit or hide titles, and not every title is available in every language.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 14 years old to sign up, and you must agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
• Give an accurate email address and name, and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for your account and password. Do not lend or transfer your account, and tell us right away if you think it has been misused.
• We may refuse sign-ups or restrict accounts for good reason, for example if someone else's information was used or false information was given.

3. Adult titles

• Adult titles are available only to members who are 19 or older and have been confirmed as adults by the method we provide.
• You must answer truthfully during adult confirmation. Using someone else's information or giving false information may result in your access to adult titles being restricted.
• You are responsible for keeping adult titles away from minors.

4. Paid features and ads

If we offer paid features (such as credits or subscriptions) we will show the price, payment method, period, and cancellation and refund terms in advance and update these terms. Credits or access we grant for free may expire after the period shown. We may show ads in the Service or give access in return for watching ads; if ads involve personal information we will update the Privacy Policy first.

5. Content and what you may do with it

• Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Service and titles belong to us or to the creators and rights holders, and are protected by law.
• You may read titles for personal, non-commercial use in the ways the Service provides.
• To protect titles we may restrict screenshots and screen recording and show an identification code (watermark) on the reading screen.

6. What you must not do

• Copy, capture, record, transmit, post, share, sell or translate titles, or spread them outside the Service, without our permission.
• Scrape titles or Service data with automated programs, or place an unreasonable load on the Service.
• Remove or get around protections such as watermarks, capture restrictions or access checks.
• Use someone else's account or information, or buy or sell accounts.
• Obtain ad-based or other access by improper means.
• Interfere with the Service or break the law or these terms.

7. Changes and interruptions

We may change the Service when operationally or technically necessary and will give notice of important changes. We may interrupt the Service temporarily for maintenance, failures, force majeure or provider issues. If we end the Service completely we will tell you at least 30 days before.

8. Deleting your account and restrictions

• You can delete your account at any time from the My page of the app or the account deletion page of the website. Your account, reading history and access records are then deleted and cannot be restored.
• If you break these terms we may warn you, restrict your use, suspend or terminate your account. Except in urgent cases we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond.
• If you disagree with a restriction, write to support@freecomics.app; we will lift it if we find there is good reason.

9. Limitation of liability

We are not responsible for problems caused by force majeure or by your own fault. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for free parts of the Service, except in cases of our intent or gross negligence. You are responsible for problems caused by not securing your account.

10. Privacy

We process your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes will first be settled by good-faith discussion and otherwise by the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. If we change these terms we will announce it in the Service at least 7 days before it takes effect (30 days for important or unfavorable changes). If you do not agree you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
