Privacy Policy
Announced: October 13, 2026 · Effective date: October 20, 2026
WeirdoFoodCompany Co., Ltd. ("we", "us") operates FreeComics (the app and website, the "Service"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect and why
| Category | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-up (required) | Email address, password, name, the version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you agreed to and when | To identify you, verify your email, manage your account, prevent abuse, answer your questions and keep a record of your agreement |
| Sign-up (optional) | Nickname | To set the name shown in the Service |
| Adult content | Whether and when you were confirmed as an adult, how it was confirmed, and the verification attempt ID and result (adult or not). If you use mobile phone identity verification, the name, date of birth, gender, phone number and carrier you enter in the verification window are handled by the identity verification provider. These, together with a duplicate-registration check value (DI) created by the provider, may be passed to our server, but we only check them briefly to decide whether you are 19 or older and do not store them. (Until identity verification is introduced, we ask for your date of birth, which we also do not store.) | To confirm eligibility for adult titles |
| Created while you use the Service | Reading history (where you stopped, progress, completion), access records for episodes (ads watched, wait-to-unlock requests, expiry times), credit balance and history (if granted by us), language setting | To let you read and resume, manage episode access and show the Service in your language |
| Collected automatically | IP address, date and time of access, device and browser type, usage records, cookies and on-device storage values | To operate the Service reliably (error checks, access statistics), prevent abuse and trace leaked content |
Your password is stored using one-way encryption, so we cannot see your original password.
2. How long we keep it
When you delete your account we delete your personal information without delay. Your account, reading history, access records, identity verification records, consent records and credit/subscription data are permanently removed and cannot be restored.
- Information we must keep under law (for example payment or contract records) is kept separately for the legally required period and then deleted. If we start offering such features we will add the details here.
- Automatically collected logs are deleted automatically after the retention period set by our infrastructure providers.
3. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except with your consent, where the law requires it, or when authorities make a request through a lawful procedure.
4. Service providers and international transfers
We use the following providers to run the Service. As a result your information may be managed by providers based abroad or sent to servers outside your country.

| Resend, Inc. (United States) | Sending sign-up confirmation, password reset and other notification emails | Email address, name, email content with verification or reset links, sending records | Sent over encrypted connections when an email is sent | According to the provider's retention policy (until the contract ends) |
| PortOne (Korea PortOne) (Republic of Korea) | Connecting mobile phone identity verification and relaying the result | Verification request information (an ID we create), the verification result (including the date of birth and duplicate-registration check value (DI) used to decide whether you are an adult, which we do not store) | Sent over encrypted connections when you use identity verification | According to applicable law and the provider's policy |
| NHN KCP Corp. (Republic of Korea) · identity verification provider | Mobile phone identity verification (adult check) | Name, date of birth, gender, citizenship status, phone number and carrier that you enter yourself in the verification window | Sent over an encrypted connection when you enter it in the verification window (it does not pass through our server) | According to applicable law and the provider's policy |
PortOne and NHN KCP apply from the time we start mobile phone identity verification for adult titles. If we add new services such as advertising, we will update this table and tell you in advance.
5. How information is deleted
- Procedure: once we confirm your deletion request, we delete your information from our database.

9. Cookies and on-device storage
The website uses cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language. The app stores your sign-in information, language setting and last reading position on your device for the same purposes; they are removed when you uninstall the app. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, but features that need sign-in may not work.
10. Content protection
To protect copyright, the web reading screen may show a faint watermark with a member identification code (part of your account ID), and the app restricts screenshots and screen recording. We use the code only to find the source if content is leaked.
